GM Ashley told me the story of his most crushing defeat. Had he won this match, he would have gained his GM title. He was stuck between two moves and made the wrong one. As he walked away, another GM told him not to worry, that he would get the GM title one day...but he first had to SEE himself as that Grand Master. He explained that although it was his toughest L, it was also his greatest lesson.
In life, we have the power of creation sitting on our shoulders, right in between our ears. KNOWING who we are and what we are capable of is imperative to our growth.
